  Hello Wolverine Fans!   The summer is coming to an end and the beginning of the 2023-2024 season is upon us!   There are a lot of updates within the program from summer and as we look ahead to fall.     Anderson selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks Casey Anderson was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 11 th Round of the Major League Baseball Draft.   This was the best selection in the history of the program and Anderson has quickly moved up the organization climbing from Rookie League to Visalia in the California League.   In his first season   Fall Alumni Event Scheduled for September 29 Friday, September 29 the Utah Valley Baseball program will be hosting the annual alumni night.   The event is dedicated to providing former Utah Valley players from every era a chance to come back to campus and rekindle memories with friends, family, and teammates.   The night will have food on the concourse at 5:30pm as t...

  Hello Wolverine Fans!   One of the most exciting seasons in Utah Valley program history has come to an end and summer is in full swing.   Here is a look at what is going on inside the program.     Utah Valley Reaches WAC Championship Game The WAC Tournament was a magical time for the team as they flew through the first three games of the tournament by a combined score of 42-11 en route to the WAC Championship Game.   In the finals, Sam Houston State proved too tough keeping Utah Valley just one win short of the NCAA Tournament.   It was a great tournament for the Wolverines highlighted by All Tournament recognition for multiple players and the first WAC Championship Game appearance since 2016.   Third Place Regular Season Finish A win on the last day of the season secured a 16-12 WAC record for Utah Valley which secured third place in the WAC standings.   The third place finish matched the highest finish in the WAC in prog...

  Hello Wolverine Fans!   We are about to approach the halfway point of the season and there is a lot of action going on in the Utah Valley Baseball Program! Best Start in Program History The 2023 season has gotten off to a fast start as Utah Valley has the best start in program history through 24 games.     The season began with an 8-game road trip that saw the Wolverines collect 5 wins over California schools.   Then the team split a 4-game series at nationally ranked Portland before picking up another win in Idaho over Northwest Nazarene. Lehigh traveled all the way to Orem for the Home Opener that saw a 4-game series split.   In conference play, Utah Valley is 2-2 having two games snowed out last weekend against Tarleton State.   Walk Off Win over BYU Tuesday the Wolverines scored 5 runs in the 9 th inning to walk off the BYU Cougars at UCCU Ballpark.   The win was an excitin...

  Hello Wolverine Fans! We are hopeful that your holidays have been filled with fun, friends, family, and food!   With New Year’s Day approaching, it means one thing:   Soon the team will back at it with the start of Spring Semester!    There is always great excitement about the upcoming season during this time of year and this season is no different.   We are excited about our February 17 Opening Day game at UC Davis and several other exciting things that are going on around the program!   2023 Schedule Release The full 2023 schedule has been released and is an exciting slate highlighted by a program record 26 home games!   31 total games will be played in the state of Utah including a 3-game series at Utah Tech and non conference away games at BYU and Utah.   BYU and Utah will both visit UCCU Ballpark twice to culminate 3 game sets with each in-state non conference foe.   Hello Wolverine Fans! Fall team practice is complete and we enter our post fall practice workouts with excitement.   The seven weekend fall practice session was an important time as a new recruiting class found its way around campus and returning players worked to improve.   The fall was highlighted by a game against Colorado Mesa in which Utah Valley outscored the Division II powerhouse 25-8 over the course of an 18 inning game.   There are several exciting events going on in the program as we go forward.   2023 Schedule Release The 2023 schedule is released in segments every Tuesday as featured in our “Tuesday’s Two Thousand Twenty Three Schedule Release”.   You can find the latest schedule release below and stay tuned every Tuesday for another release.   The complete schedule will be released in early January.   So far the schedule release has included the following weekends: Week 1 – at UC Davis Week 2 – at UC Riverside Week 3 ...

  Hello Wolverine Fans! We are at the half way point of our team practice session of fall and there is great excitement surrounding the team!   With 26 newcomers and 13 states represented on the fall roster, the players have been hard at work carving out their mark in the program.   Alumni Weekend a Huge Success Friday, September 30 we welcomed many former players and their families back to campus for our Baseball Alumni Weekend.   Friday night featured a dinner, meet and greet with the current team, and stadium tours.   Then we moved on to having family time on the field where families with kids of all ages ran the bases, played catch, enjoyed the family photo booth, and took turns swinging the bat.   The night was capped by former Wolverine players taking their swings and trying to hit home runs as there was an open batting practice session on the field.
