Hello Wolverine Fans!

The summer is coming to an end and the beginning of the 2023-2024 season is upon us!  There are a lot of updates within the program from summer and as we look ahead to fall.

Anderson selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks

Casey Anderson was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 11th Round of the Major League Baseball Draft.  This was the best selection in the history of the program and Anderson has quickly moved up the organization climbing from Rookie League to Visalia in the California League.

In his first season

Fall Alumni Event Scheduled for September 29

Friday, September 29 the Utah Valley Baseball program will be hosting the annual alumni night.  The event is dedicated to providing former Utah Valley players from every era a chance to come back to campus and rekindle memories with friends, family, and teammates.

The night will have food on the concourse at 5:30pm as the current team finishes a scrimmage.  Once the scrimmage is over the current players will mingle with alums and the field will open for batting practice and an opportunity for kids to play on the field.  Bring your gloves and appetite for a great night at UCCU Ballpark!

Utah Valley Set to Play Northwest Nazarene and Southern Idaho in Fall Competitions

This fall the two NCAA allotted outside scrimmages for the program will take place in October.  Friday, October 13 Southern Idaho will visit UCCU Ballpark and Saturday, October 21 Northwest Nazarene will take on the Wolverines.  Both games will be free to the public.

Fall Prospect Camps

Prospect camps have been the primary avenue for high school age players to eventually join our varsity roster and we look forward to welcoming hundreds of prospects to our campus this fall through our camp system.  There will be two prospect camps this fall, both held on Saturdays.  The first is September 23 and the next date is October 14.  Registration and more information can be found at www.UVUBaseballCamps.com.

Schultz Shines for Blue Jays Organization

Former Utah Valley standout and 2019 Major League Draft Pick has had a stellar season in AAA with the Toronto Blue Jays Organization.  With less than a month to play in the season, Schultz has logged 101 innings pitched and holds a 4.10 ERA.  In that time he has struck out 105 batters and limited opponents with a 1.50 WHIP.

We look forward to getting started with this team.  Practices begin this week and we hope to have everyone at UCCU Ballpark this fall!
