Hello Wolverine Fans!

Just a few weeks in to the school year the Utah Valley Baseball Program has started its 2021-2022 season.  It is with great excitement that we welcome 21 new players to the program as we get underway with our fall practice period.

These new players and returning players are all looking to earn for opportunities varying from establishing themselves as regulars in the lineup to pitching rotation to making the roster for the Spring.  So far the energy has been great after a full week of full team practice and 10 days of small group practices.

During this time we have also had a great session of Summer and Fall Camps.  There have been over 250 high school prospects on our campus since August 3 providing the perfect environment for our coaches and prospective players to engage in games and drills on our field.  These camps have been a great asset to our program as we get to work with players from all over the community and region while also using our wonderful facility to facilitate development for local players in our Utah Valley Fall League Camp.

As we go forward we look ahead to an exciting month ahead.  Here is a look at some of the events going on in our program.

Saturday, September 11 – High School Coaches Day

We will have a scrimmage that is open to all high school coaches.  After the scrimmage our new coaching staff will spend time with high school coaches.  This event is free for high school coaches and will be from 1:00-3:30pm.  The gathering with Utah Valley coaches and high school coaches will be limited only to coaches in accordance to NCAA rules.  No high school aged family members of the high school coaches are permitted to be present.

Saturday, September 18 – Outside competition vs. College of Southern Idaho

This will be a triple header featuring a game with College of Southern Idaho beginning at 11:00am.  This game will be open to the public.

Saturday, September 25 – Utah Valley/Utah Valley State College Baseball Alumni Day

We will have a scrimmage that is open to all baseball alumni no matter what era you played in the Wolverine program!  After the scrimmage our new coaching staff will spend time with the alumni and be available for questions and answers.  The event is free and will be from 1:00-3:30pm.  Per NCAA rules, no high school aged family members are permitted to attend the question and answer session with the Utah Valley coaches.

Saturday, October 2 – Outside competition vs. SLCC

This will be a game against Salt Lake Community College beginning at noon.  The game will be open to the public.

Friday, October 8 – Sunday, October 10 – Wolverine World Series

Our fall practice period will conclude with the Wolverine World Series.  This will be a best of 3 series with our roster divided in to two teams who will be playing for off season bragging rights.  The games will be open to the public with times as follows:

Friday, October 8 – 6:05pm

Saturday, October 9 – 2:05pm

Sunday, October 10 – 12:05pm

We can’t wait to continue to move forward with hard work and foundation building within our program.  Thank you for your interest in Utah Valley Baseball and we hope you can make it to the ballpark this fall!
